We are excited to announce the partnership between Zulla and The Green Lion Editions, which will aim to unite generative artificial intelligence and the publishing world. Two worlds that are technologically distant but when combined can achieve impressive results. To tell you more about what this is all about and what the goals of this collaboration are, we interviewed our CEO Mario Petruccelli and Anita Molino, CEO of Il Leone Verde Edizioni.
Mario, how did the partnership between Zulla and The Green Lion Editions come about and what does it consist of?
From the desire for innovation of Anita, CEO of Il Leone Verde Edizioni, a historical publisher in Turin, came a contact between two worlds that are technologically distant but share a common goal: to lower content production costs without sacrificing quality. Zulla and The Green Lion have decided to collaborate to solve a problem that plagues all publishers, from the smallest to the largest. Zulla’s generative technology and the expertise of The Green Lion Editions will be used to create a tool capable of generating the highest quality content, that is, publisher-proof!
What distinctive value proposition do you bring to the market?
We develop generative AI that can maintain high quality standards in Italian language.
Do you think your proposition will change the market?
AI is already revolutionizing many markets, and in Italy, the publishing market is moving very slowly toward innovation. We firmly believe that all of this will provide a major breakthrough in a market with enormous potential and shrinking margins. There will be benefits in terms of turnover, margin and environmental impact.
What are your short- and long-term goals?
In the short term, we are going to create a tool that can generate specialized and sector-specific content, optimized for SEO, using a certain tone of voice and a distinct writing style. This tool will be evidence of what can be accomplished with a body of documents, which a publisher always has, and with Zulla’s AI to support it.
In the long run this project will be deepened but at present it is too early to reveal the details.
Anita, how did you meet Zulla?
I met Zulla throughAI Explained Simple. I saw their program and immediately realized how helpful it could be in preparing content. Because I have years of content (25 years of articles, 385 edited books), their program allows me to extract the best of it and optimize it to make new articles for the blog “The Natural Child” and for the “Reading is a Taste” series.
What made you realize that this partnership could be a great opportunity for the publishing world?
The ability to generate content that is also optimized for SEO saves a lot of time and also allows many more articles to be produced, making the work of editors easier. I think it is a great opportunity not only for me, but also for my colleagues, whatever their field of endeavor. Having our readers enjoy worldwide visibility allows us to have unparalleled visibility.
I believe that content, because of the wealth of data available, will have incredible developments-we are already seeing this for images. In content, even creative content, what will prevent us from generating completely new texts on any topic? Who will stop us from writing in Pirandello’s style? What will be the role of the writer with this technology or especially how will people recognize the difference with a human?
Do you think your proposition will change the market?
What we have in mind with Zulla will surely amaze us but it will always be thanks to human creativity: it will, however, allow us to be faster and not make mistakes. What I normally do for myself I see declined for my colleagues as well. Having a group of publishers called ForumEditorial, they will certainly be the first to experiment. We need to be brave and take the best of what artificial intelligence can give us. The publishing field will be shaken by a tsunami, only those who can seize these great opportunities will be able to withstand the market, I am excited about this collaboration!
